What is Sandblasting?

Sand blasting is driven by compressed air to form a high-speed jet beam to spray the spray (copper ore, quartz sand, corundum, iron sand, sea sand) at high speed to the surface of the workpiece to be treated, so that the surface or shape of the workpiece changes. 

Due to the impact of the abrasive on the surface of the workpiece and the cutting action, the surface of the workpiece is given a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, so that the mechanical properties of the surface of the workpiece are improved, thereby improving the fatigue resistance of the workpiece, adding it and coating. 

The adhesion between the film extends the durability of the film and also contributes to the leveling and decoration of the paint.

What are the Benefits of Sandblasting Before Powder Coating?

First, Sand blasting is the most thorough, most versatile, most rapid and efficient cleaning method.

Second, Sandblasting can be arbitrarily chosen between different roughness, and other processes can not achieve this. Hand sanding can make a rough surface but the speed is too slow, chemical solvent cleaning will clean the surface too smooth and not good for coating bonding.

Sandblasting is a faster and cost-effective way of cleaning and preparing metals before they are applied with powder coating. For numerous and larger projects that need to be prepared for powder coating, sandblasting is easier and faster since it employs the use of small particles that are propelled at a high velocity towards the surface.
